The Annandale Boys & Girls Club Recreational Soccer Program is designed to introduce young players to the game in a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate environment. Our focus is on skill development, teamwork, and building a love for soccer—while making sure every child feels included and valued.
Recreational Soccer is offered in both the Spring and Fall seasons and is open to players from Pre-K through High School. No prior soccer experience is required.
A Program Built for Learning and Fun
ABGC Recreational Soccer is a no-tryout program where every registered player gets to play. Teams are formed to promote balance, learning, and positive experiences on and off the field.
Our goals are simple:

- Create a welcoming environment for new and returning players
Winning is never the top priority, player development and fun come first.

Season Structure
ABGC offers Recreational Soccer during 2 seasons:
- Spring Season
- Fall Season
Each season typically includes:
- Weekly practice
- Weekend game
- A structured schedule designed for families
Exact dates, schedules, and locations are provided prior to the start of each season.
Volunteer Coaches
Recreational Soccer teams are led by
parent and community volunteer coaches. No prior coaching experience is required—ABGC provides guidance and resources to help coaches succeed.

Equipment
ABGC Recreational Soccer keeps equipment requirements simple:
- Soccer ball (size varies by age group)
- Shin guards
- Athletic shoes or soccer cleats
- Water bottle
Uniform information is provided during registration.
