Financial Aid / Scholarship Program
ABGC believes that every child deserves the opportunity to participate in youth sports, regardless of a family’s financial situation.
When a youth qualifies for our financial assistance program, they are referred to as a Scholarship Player. The Scholarship program provides partial registration discounts for families who qualify.
Who Qualifies To Be a Scholarship Player?
To qualify as a scholarship player you must be receiving assistance from one of the following programs:
- Free or Reduced School Lunch
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
- Aid for Dependent Children
- Foster Care
- Medicaid
AND meet all of the following criteria:
- Live in Fairfax County or the City of Fairfax
- Be enrolled in school (kindergarten through 12th grade)
- Commit to attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled practices and games
- Not be currently served by an existing scholarship or fee waiver program
How to Apply For The Scholarship Program

Gather Required Documents
- Government aid documentation
- Proof of residency
- Any other supporting documentation

Submit Application
Begin to register your youth online, while adding to the cart, click the hyperlink for Financial Aid, then complete the application.

A Determination Will Be Made
Your application will be reviewed, and you will get an email indicating the decision.

Check Out At Reduced Rate
If approved, a discount will be added to your youth's registration. Return to the cart and check out at the reduced rate.
Fine Print
Please keep the following in mind applying:
- Scholarships are not guaranteed
- Submissions are reviewed in the order received
- Approval applies only to the specific player and season
- Families are responsible for any remaining balance
- Providing false or misleading information may result in denial or revocation
ABGC reserves the right to limit or discontinue scholarships based on available funding.
