What You Should Know
Age Groups & Divisions
Recreational Basketball is typically offered for the following grade levels:
- Kindergarten
- 1st – 2nd Grade
- 3rd – 4th Grade
- 5th – 6th Grade
- 7th – 8th Grade
- High School
Divisions may be adjusted based on registration numbers to ensure competitive balance and the best experience for all players.
Season Structure
Season Format
- Season: Winter
- Practices: Typically once per week
- Games: Usually held on weekends
- Location: Local ABGC gyms and partner facilities
Schedules are designed to be family-friendly while still giving players plenty of opportunities to play and improve.
Player Development
We focus on the fundamentals. At every level, our recreational program emphasizes:
