Program Overview

Cheerleading is an athletic team sport that builds strength, stamina, coordination, and confidence through stunting, cheering, dance, and teamwork. ABGC’s cheer program is open to boys and girls ages 5–15 and offers two cheerleading pathways, depending on experience and goals.

Recreation Cheer

Recreation Cheer is sideline cheerleading at ABGC-sponsored football and basketball games held on Saturdays at local schools. This program is perfect for first-time cheerleaders and those looking to strengthen foundational skills.

No prior experience or tryouts are required. Participants will learn basic motions, chants, routines, and teamwork through regular practices in a supportive, energetic environment. All that’s needed is enthusiasm, commitment, and school spirit.

ELITE Cheer (Invite Only)

ELITE Cheer is an All-Star competition squad for experienced cheerleaders who want to take their skills to the next level. This team focuses on advanced tumbling, stunting, and high-energy choreography, and participates in special performances and competitions that may require local travel.

To be eligible for ELITE Cheer, athletes must complete at least one season of Recreation Cheer and successfully pass an ELITE evaluation. This program is ideal for cheerleaders preparing for high school and collegiate cheer.

Practices & Scheduling

Practice days are determined each year based on Annandale Terrace Elementary School availability, which is finalized after the school year begins. Once confirmed, the coaching staff will share the final practice schedule as soon as possible.
